U.S. National Parks
Since childhood my dream has been to explore American nature. I was fascinated by the work of Ansel Adams. I remember spending hours looking at the photos in vintage issues of National Geographic Magazine brought to Saint Petersburg by my Captain grandfather on board of his ship. These visions seemed so magnificent but also were also so unattainably distant.
The grandeur of North American continent and the vast variety of places, landscapes and ecosystems were mind-boggling and endlessly inspiring. I wanted to see it all myself one day.
Years later I ended up in New York on a whim. Then 2020 came around. With COVID pandemic and the 'regular' world shut down I finally found an opportunity to hop in a car and embark on a road trip across the U.S. These pictures below were mostly shot then, but I keep planning other visits to the U.S. National Parks I haven't seen yet. It is a continuous journey after all!
